Winter Weather Information

A winter storm is expected to bring significant impacts from a mix of freezing rain, sleet, and snow Friday evening into Sunday evening for Warren County.

Dangerously cold temperatures are also likely for Friday night into early next week.

The 5 P’s for Winter Weather:

Protect People: Dress in layers, limit outdoor time, check on the elderly and young, and use heating safely, keeping space heaters away from flammable items.
Protect Pets: Bring outdoor pets inside or provide a warm, dry shelter; if it’s too cold for you, it’s too cold for them.
Protect Plants: Cover cold-sensitive plants with frost blankets or bring potted plants indoors.
Protect Pipes: Insulate exposed pipes and outdoor faucets, and allow faucets to drip slowly to prevent freezing and bursting.
Practice Fire Safety: Use safe indoor heating, keep heaters away from curtains, and never use grills or ovens for indoor heating due to carbon monoxide risk.
