Mission Statement
Warren County Emergency Services, working in close partnership with the City of Vicksburg Fire/Rescue and Ambulance Services, provides a unified and comprehensive emergency response system that protects the lives, property, and well-being of our citizens. Our mission is to ensure that every resident, business, and visitor in Warren County and the City of Vicksburg has access to reliable, professional, and compassionate emergency services – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We fulfill this mission through a coordinated system of fire suppression, rescue operations, emergency medical services, disaster preparedness, and community education. By combining the strength of our volunteer fire districts, the professional capabilities of Vicksburg Fire/Rescue, and the advanced life support resources of our ambulance services, we can provide a seamless network of protection that extends across city and county boundaries.
Our priorities include:
- Fire Protection & Rescue – Responding rapidly and effectively to fires, motor vehicle accidents, technical rescues, hazardous materials incidents and other emergencies to minimize loss of life and property.
- Emergency Medical Care – Delivering advanced pre-hospital care through Vicksburg Fire/Rescue paramedics and countywide ambulance services, ensuring the highest level of medical treatment during critical moments.
- Disaster Preparedness & Response – Coordinating countywide planning, training, and response for natural disasters, severe weather, and large-scale incidents to protect lives and restore stability.
- Prevention & Education – Reducing risk through fire inspections, code enforcement, safety training, school programs, and public outreach that build a culture of awareness and preparedness.
- Collaboration & Partnerships – Strengthening coordination among Warren County Fire Districts, Vicksburg Fire/Rescue, EMS providers, law enforcement, emergency managements, and regional/state/federal partners to ensure a unified response.6
- Commitment to Service – Upholding integrity, accountability, and professionalism in every action, while continuously improving through training, innovation, and community feedback.
